L Reg Terrano, speedo out

The speedo reads 10mph over. (Reads 70mph at actual 60mph) Not a % of the actual speed, so I don't think it's the tyre size, but dead on 10mph too fast at all speeds.
Is there a sensor somewhere that might be at fault, or should I move the speedo needle ?

they are all a bit like that mate, just keep a track of it in your head. I usualy use a mentl half way pint between what the sat nav says and what the spedo says as they are allways a minimum of 5 mph apart, the error gets bigger as you go faster.

I used to have a mental half way pint on the way home from work on a Friday, but you know what it's like, one pint leads to another, next thing you know, you're walking home. Well, half way anyway. I didn't need a speedo then.

Just reading an old thread about it and I see it's a common problem. Made me laugh reading all the too fast/too slow over reading/under reading bigger tyres/smaller tyres confusion.

One to put on the list of jobs I reckon.
