Just had a back Exhaust box fitted on the wifes Peugoet 206 Local Exhaust place £55
Kwik fit price £85. its a easy job 15min. Why do people still use Kwik fit at these Prices

I would have fit my self but weather not normal and the cheapest on Ebay £33 so did not feel £55 was not to bad same day they ordered from Andrew Pages so they will get good price less than £33 From them.

I agree their prices are ridiculous, your local repair garage will fit you an exhaust for less and with the same guarantee :thumb2

I agree, plus with Kwik Fit (sorry, im generalizing) you run the risk of them deciding you need an entire new exhaust system while they are at it, oh, and new calipers mate....

We got a Kwik Fit just down the road from us and to be honest there is never anyone in there. I dont know how they make any money.:nenau

to be fair the national chains have their use, like when on holiday away from home
so that atleast your repair is covered when you get home by their local centre.

me too kwik fit stung!

i used to be in the tyre game 16yrs & i never use em except some mths ago i had n/s/f blow on me , it was sat afternoon spare on its last legs so i became gullable only tyre in my size in stock a conti 235/70x16 £142 take it or leave it :doh i had it drove away ripped off, i then ordered 2 yokohama,s from my local garage £102 each much more reasonable, kwik fit ,national tyres,ATS , i make them places last resort ...only glad there not testing::bow

ref testing, they bailed me out one xmas eve when realised test had expired
about week before, was 2010 my excuse was in all that snow had forgotten
as round here it was down to just surviving.

they tested my fillthy troll, both inside and out, was ashamed not to have
prepped vehicle. and passed it with couple of warnings.

BUT for tyres n exhausts I use a local chain, dexel.

I have used Kwik Fit in York several times and have found them and their prices OK providing you order them first by internet and can wait a few days before having them fitted.
I ordered a set of Continental winter tyres on the Sunday just before the big fall of snow in November 2010 and their internet price was 20% cheaper than I could find elsewhere on the internet.

they are ok, as long as you ask for the real price after they give you there first price
