we go on saturday 10th oct for a week, we booked a static van, your welcome to pop down mate, let me know nearer the day.:clap:lol

took my caravan to the storage site which is along a unmade road, and i have a knocking coming from front of truck, it's heavy sounding knock coming from both sides, i 've had a quick look and can't see anything drastic, truck has just had it's mot and the garage is spot on, a proper check over etc, it only seems to happen in a straight line as far as i can tell, and it's not all the time, any idea's as to what to check? :nenau:doh

Have you looked and made shore that there is no stones stuck in the suspension or any rubber bushes have any cracks in them (meaning look worn in any way) this could make the suspension move slity that can make a knocking sound or worn drive sharfts is the anther thing this could be. What i mean by the drive sharfts is uj's (universal joint) could be worn and how to no if this is worn is to see if there is any twist movement in it if there is replace it and then see if knocking has stoped thats all that i can thing off it could be.????

thanks dazer, i have checked the suspension and there is nothing wedged anywhere, but i think i may have found the problem, :thumbs. i changed the gearbox oil the other day and my mate said that he thought the front suspension was to high, on inspection it has been fitted with new torsion bars recently and they seem to be wound up high, also on flat ground, and looking at front of vehicle the wheels seem to have positive camber, which could cause a few problems, i will have to let the front down when i get a minute.:doh :lol

i have now let the front down and all seems well, front torsion bars were wound right up and causing the knock, the old truck drives really well now as the suspension is now working properly. also i have ordered some lsd oil from g8 products, 3lts delivered £20.70 inc vat, 4x4onaret posted this place awhile back and i thought i would try them, as some wally has put EP 80/90 oil in the rear diff :doh
