Ebay seem to be a law to themselves.

I was suspended and warned for using trying to sell a PSP I chip I hadnt bothered using.

They said I was encouraging pirating, I pointed out that I preferred to make back up copies and retain originals in mint condition to enable selling at a later date using only the back up copy for my exclusive personal use and not at the same time as the originals (which stayed in the box). At the time and I believe still this case, this is entirely acceptable and lawful and is why the discs say "dont make illegal copies" the illegal bit being the key.

(I was tempted to ask them if they knew it should actually say unlawful because an illegal is actually a poorly bird but I though it would wind them up too much  )

They then replied that Sony objected to their machines being modified, I pointed out that it wasnt sony's it was mine I'd bought it (not so sure on this point reverse engineering and all of that) but could they please provide evidence beyond doubt as opposed to their opinion that I was encouraging pirating.

No reply other than "youre suspended" :lol:lol:lol:lol

At the end of the day Darwin especially if you ask nicely (doesnt matter how insincerely ;) ) they'll let you back on because theyre making money on you.

dunno about bombs but thermite plasma is great for speed cameras ............... allegedly :lol

Colin's right, at least one of the ingredients commonly used in bomb-making is also freely available on the Bay as its used in amateur biofuel manufacture.

You can also buy (and the poor old carriers unwittingly ship them) a complete airbag unit....how is that going to behave outside a vehicle in a confined space if, say, static electricity were to set it off?????

I know from experience that eBay takes a VERY UNEDUCATED view of things. I used to collect specialist silver and several times harangued them about obvious fakes, but they refused to listen....but then I wasn't Prada or Nike I suppose....meanwhile people out there get shafted.

All they want is your money people. And their big focus these days is on getting it more easily from fewer people. Soon its just an online department store.
