key stuck in door lock!

Terrano 1999.
My wife has managed to get the key stuck in the door lock! She did manage to open it but now the key won't go clockwise to lock it and won't come out. I suspect it will need a new barrel but any instructins on removing door panel-eg does the electric window switch pull off?

yep easy to remove panel.
two screw nr hinges might have little covers on,

big handle unscrews too, and the panel is on the normal clips

leaver the door handle trim off carfully. ( i think ) the window swich is the same.

cant remember how easy the lock is to get at though, as when i was there i didnt need to look

If I remember rightly Zippy, the window switch comes away with the panel. You can then push it through if required from inside out.

Try squirting WD40 in the lock from the outside and gently jiggle the key in an up and down movement and start to pull out gently whilst moving up and down (no comments please lads). The fingers in the lock are vertical so your gentle releasing those.
