Banshee as an addition to my previous post, and following some investigation.
My key has a BLUE module in the key bit.......on the bay a 433mHz module looks to be GREEN.
Does this imply that mine is 413mHz.....:nenau:nenau

Sorry John, I'm back :naughty

If you take the bottom shroud from your steering column off then you'll be able to find the remote locking receiver of which it should have your frequency stamped on it :thumb2

Have a look at this;

Hi Guys,

I thought that I would bump this one.......:bow

As you will have read earlier in this thread, I was having serious issues with my key fob, not registering with the car. So, I sent the fob off for a refurb, it came back and I attempted a good number of times to sync it, to no avail........then, for some reason unknown to me at the time I thought.....I wonder if I turn the key around......all previous attempts were with the buttons facing the steering column.....this time I tried it with the buttons facing the door.......hey presto......it worked.......:nenau

How could the key orientation, in such a small area make such a difference....:nenau

Should not make any difference, unless say one of the batteries is loose and turning it over re established contact, how does it work 20 paces from the car? Rick

I wish I could answer that....but turning the key around was the only way it seemed to reprogramme correctly.........:nenau

Likely to be the pressure you are able to press the buttons, bet the change of angle made your presses more effective.

So if you've got both paired up and working happy days, sit back with a drink and relax.

I'm glad you've got it sorted john, I've got to admit I've tested that too and done it both ways round so I'd say fault with the key :thumb2

Yes, it was getting embarrassing 'breaking' into my car all the time.......:augie
