I decided to change the key fob cover as it was getting a bit tatty and I had a few new ones , so the small clip on the battery side took some getting out and also some getting into the new one. Anyway when it was all back together it didn't work.
So,I'm wondering ,
Is there a time limit to get the battery back in or you have to re program the fob ? :doh

This is in downloads :thumbs http://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/downloads/workshop/wk14.pdf

I received one with my truck & purchased a further two afterwards. I found that upon programing the two new ones that the old one also needed to be reprogramed. I guess the old one went out of sync when I programed the new ones.

Hope this is of some help.

Check battery is in the correct way around. Then go through the programming process:thumbs

When you enter the key programming mode, any currently programmed fobs will be erased

Not had any luck with the programming the fob ,it could be the battery I suppose I will try again when I can get some new ones just to be sure.
Is there any way of temporarily disabling the alarm til I can get it sorted .
How do you do two keys if programming one wipes the other ?

Horn is behind rear OS panel, you can only program more than one fob if all done in the same programming sequence, yes you only have a couple of mins to change fob bats before prog is lost, on a good note I now have a good starter cog assembly as the motor on the one I have is goosed so you are welcome to it, Rick

Cheers for that Rick, I am in the uk for a few weeks from the 8th so if I get time I will call in and see you, perhaps on my way home, will let you know, John

Be nice to see you, and will not take long to change your gear housing, if you needed to overnight there is the caravan, Rick

Not coming in the Terrano Rick, will be in my sisters Honda CR-V, but would love to see you and Mags again, John

Oh well you can take the bits back and change it yourself, Rick

Hi guys,

Can I please use this thread, and ask about the programming process and a problem with mine?

Having changed the button covers on mine, the fob itself decided to release the chip etc., from the battery compartment, not a problem, I put in a new battery, just in case.

I replaced everything, and went through the reprogramming sequence okay..........but did not receive the final 1 x warning light flash after the sequence to confirm acceptance of programme, hence no action on the buttons.

I have tried this a number of times, with no success.........what am I doing wrong please?

Help......:nenau

When you initiate the re-programming mode does the car flash the hazards to indicate that it's going into the correct mode?

Banshee,

The lights flash twice, after the 6 x 0 to ignition ON, then with key in ignition and OFF, keep pressed UNLOCK, and press LOCK x 3 and release UNLOCK..........then no 1 x flash for acknowledge........

When I do turn on the ignition and start car, I get 2 x flash on lights before turn over.....

Those steps are perfect, tested it at lunch as per the download and mine worked a treat, I have a 433MHz fob as a spare in the house that I programmed, why don't you grab one from the bay? Then you can rule out electronics?

I'd check your Central Locking Module to check if you are 433 or 418MHz first :thumb2

Okay Banshee, thanks for the continuing support....... where do I find this module to check, and the chips are then on the bay...Yes?

Banshee, sorry to be a pain....under masses of family related stress currently, and need to get this niggle sorted quite promptly.....:nenau

So, how do I find the locking module/transponder, and having looked on the bay and Amazon, cannot seem to source the chips.......:nenau

Banshee as an addition to my previous post, and following some investigation.
My key has a BLUE module in the key bit.......on the bay a 433mHz module looks to be GREEN.
Does this imply that mine is 413mHz.....:nenau:nenau
