Hi All.
Ref my 1997 Maverick 2.7TD.
Some years back I put new batteries in both and succesfully programmed two Fobs. Used one for every day the other tucked away.
Recently the used Fob didn't work but the spare did so I assumed batteries.
Changed batteries, still didn't work so tried to Re-Code using the Workshop 14 written procedure but no success. In doing that I now have both Fobs not working.

Any clues anyone

Not sure if ford used the same fobs as Nissan so I’m unsure what they are like.
Normally I would say switch in the everyday fob is buggered, test with a multimeter and a second pair of hands to push the button.
My wifes Terrano has an issue where it would only pair to one or other fob but neither of them together. They used to work fine and then similar to you changed the battery in one of the fobs and this happened. Have lived with it as the spare just sat in a cupboard.
Can you try and pair up what was your spare and live with it?

Maverick Key Fob Issue Update

Hi.
Thanks for reply.

I have since managed to program one of the fobs.

There is nothing you can easily test in the suspect unit as buttons are capacitance based.

Therefore has anyone got a working two button fob (red/black button) for Terrano/Maverick they would sell.

I have several but there are 2 frequencies 418Mz and another tat I cannot remember, it should be on the label on the back if it is still there, Rick

433 is the other, if you cannot see it on the back then on a chip on the inside will be 137 or 152 it is pretty much the largest chip and is near the button end, Rick
