Key fob/ central locking issue

Hi Guys,

Sorry to be a pain.........

I have been away for about a month, came back to find a flat battery, it would just do the usual.....clunk clunk without turning over the engine. Placed on charge for 24 hrs, no problem now, start up fine etc.............but............I have found today that the key fob will not activate the C/L, I have run a search on the above, and downloaded the workshop sheet 14 on this issue.

Now either I am in a different time warp, or something is not working.

Followed instructions, no flashes of warning lights (what are they...indicators or the red car icon in the middle of the gauges?)

Followed all steps and still no light flashes, and no working key fob.

All this with me using a stop watch for timing...............

Help would be really great, I can lock the car and start it on the key, but would like to get it working like it should.

OK Guys..............so sorry, I kicked the tyre and it works........I must have not given it enough time to realise that it wanted to work....it is now, so I must have followed the instructions correctly, and hey presto!

Think the way you turn the ignition key in the programming mode seems to make a difference. Think from memory it needs quick turns rather than slower turns, if that makes sense.

Yes I think you are correct, I thought I was doing it correctly (my OCD kicks in in moments like these), but it took 5 attempts to get it right!

Battery has gone in one of mine so I will need to go through this again sometime.
