Read on Internet that the td27 will run happily on kerosene , just need to add about of oil to lube pump

Anyone know owt ?

Yes

You must pay the fuel duty and VAT on it in order to use it legally. :(

What he said :thumb2 but if one was to do such a thing :augie put good lube in regularly :sly

What you reckon 5% engine oil then ?

I don't know mate, I'd be more inclined to find the best oil to use. I know guys who have used kero in hard times but never gone that route myself.

I know a friend he uses kero mixed with two stroke oil, he uses the green oil as he say when he gets dipped, they are mostly looking for red Diesel.

do not think I would ever want to use kero in an engine, apart from lubrication kero issues the flash point of kero is much lower so over high combustion chamber temperatures will be expected, with what results???? Rick

Do them little engines that you see at steam fairs. the ones that run little water pumps etc, run on kero?

jet engines run on paraffin, or they did when I worked on Camberas in the Raf. we used to run our heating stoves on the same fuel, taking it out of the same bowser as we filled up the planes. It does make a smell that is aesily detected in ic engines as does the rapeseed oil I use. regards bri.
