dont have to have a snork to have it lol its like a k&n
its a cone filter you fasten it to the intake pipe and get rid of ya airbox, it comes with different sized bits to fit the pipe you need
If your looking for something that goes inside the original filter housing then this would be your best bet

Take care choosing one, there are two sizes, the earlier ones, and the later ones...
However the site above shows one size fits all:doh
Not true in my opinion, so do check before you buy.:thumb2
Cheers dude thats what I was looking for. Does it really make a difference?
Someone was on about greater throttle response. Just curious now as to whether they had the seperate cone mod or just a plug n play filter. :nenau
But yes that's the one im after, I guess they are all about 30 quid plus...
The cone one takes warm air from the engine compartment.
The plug and play, still takes cooler air from the inner wing, and also provides some but only little protection from water ingress due the the water separator in the plastic intake, and the one way drain valve in the filter housing.
Cooler air is denser, so contains more oxygen, so better performance.

I've had a K&N on mine for about 18 months, did seem to rev more freely and have a little bit more grunt, but my main reason for fitting was the fact that it's washable. Because the car lives in Spain paper filters get blocked more frequently because of all the dust, so now once or twice a year I take it off, wash it, re-oil it and stick it back in. Seemples!Ahh nice one rustic, I was worried i was getting the 2nd best option but yeah as you've mentioned this will be more of a forced cold air intake :thumb2
Has anyone got experience of a k and n filter and the difference? Throttle response ect.
