Thanks for numerous replies regarding my MAF.
Im back home now so will check its fualt codes in daylight tom.

now K&Ns have been brought up,
i used to run them on rally cars and stock cars,
so are they worth the money on a T2?
They did use to give a little extra power too if i remember correctly.

I confirm I also get more MPG with my K&N, also smoother running than the stock, although that could have been due to the dirt lol.

Well worth the investment and dead easy to fit.

ive got a replacement K&N, air flow is MUCH better, you can feel it in the revs and the engine running. NIce little grunt, and a smidge more MPG. well worth it.

is nothing simple with these things??????????

2003, 2.7, T2.

K&N say no products for this vehicle!

has anyone got a 2003 with one on and which type?
K&N cone style or OE replacememnt.

steve

hmm..yeah I can see that they seem to stop at 2002...im sure someone on here will know if you can get one or not...!

Mines an R reg with the cone so I had no difficulties (i57 I think its model was) :( Buy an older truck? lol

Nitrox, not sure its worth it to you, but can you take a pic of your filter? its just then we can compare to figure out if what we have, cone K&N will fit yours...

That truck engine is the same as its always been, the Terrano 2 has only been messed about cosmetically over the years; mechanicals barely touched (only relatively small stuff like a change of rear diff and move from auto to fixed hubs) and the engine only in the very smallest ways (EGR valve, mini filters) - its only the 3.0 that will be different......its a 57i K&N kit you want...about £58.

Ditto the rest of the guys, a little more puff but 2.5-3 mpog improvement....and if anyone comes out of the woodwork with 'oil on the MAF' or @it will flood the engine if you get it wet' theories.....they are bollox :thumb2

PS don't bother with the replacement filter, its doesn't fix the T2s basic problem of a piss-poor air inlet constriction...the 57i is an induction kit - sweet.

Got mine from eBAy, dead simple to fit.

can see a few pics on here if you do a search..

I can confirm what Lacroupade said... that absolutly nothing has changed between a (yr 2000'ish) MK3 2.7 engine and the MK4 2.7 engine (2003'ish - on)

So if you get one that'll fit a 2001 will be fine :thumb2
