Opps, my Bad.

Its not page 365 as that was the page i wanted. But this is the full workshop manual. The part i put you on will show you how to do a diagnostic on her. you just need to look for it.:naughty

Cheers for that. Will look it up.

Just as a bit of further info, my cousin is driving it at the moment. His comment was, once it's going to stall, that's it, push the clutch in or give her a rev makes no difference it'll stop like someone has switched it off.

Sounds like Crank sensor what maf u got Bosch the other type.

if Bosch, that should be the "cheaper" ckp, where as mine is HItachi, the CKP was £190 firect from NIssan....

Lucky for you. In Norway the Hitachi CKP cost 3500NOK (£380)
But i would also lean for a poor CKP sensor.
Mine hade MIL lights flashing once in a while and the car was bouncing when i floored the pedal. And it kept stalling.
And i changed the MAF, fuel filter, leaks on the intercooler etc.
But the fault was CKP sensor.

If you check the MAF and see if it's a Bosch or Hitachi you know what dieselpump system you got.

hmmm...well, the advert says so, but the pic isnt right thats for sure. Good price, although so good, I'd be wary of it!! I'd ring them to find out for sure....

Gents, thanks for all your help so far.

Still have the running issue, no codes stored, but i suspect that could be wrong. Still suspect the ckp

I have pulled the truck out for a few days now, not been used since saturday.

I have a whole fresh batch of problems, now started to overheat, but then out of nowhere the temp will plummet to normal again, so i guess i have a sticking 'stat.

I also have a power issue, previously i had crap running with a stall thrown in, but now i have no power, struggles to drive up the track here which is a pretty gentle incline, the diesel level was left low, so i'm figuring either the diesel bas gone off or there has been a collection of condensation.

Always been a crap starter and charger too. I think the battery cables are shagged so they need replacing.

Also i have spoke to a few people that have them do other odd runnings and i'm being told that i should check out my ignition switch, now it is incredibly worn, as is the key, but works 100%, although in the last 2 days when i key off and leave the keys in the ignition i get a beep. Never had that before, if i remove the keys from the switch it goes away.

I only bought the truck to hav something to run around the farm with when i was home to spare the alfa 159 from a chassis bashin. Problem is its not reliable and i'm concerned its gonna cost a a ball of money to fix, perhaps i should cash in my losses and trade it for a swb comercial landcruiser/shogun

Any thoughts people? Struggle on or move on?

Where in the south east are you? anywhere near Bexhill, if so look in sometime and I will take a look at it, Rick

Cheers rick, i'm in chelmsford, i'd love to take you up on the offer but the truck is on thewest cost of ireland! So i'm solo i reckon
