good stuff Glen, the code confirms what we suspected. Its a big expense sure, but its easy to fit yourself and it will fix the problem and you'll never have to replace it again! well worth it.

Big thanks to this club

your help has been great it keeps you on the right track when fault finding every thing I was been told pointed to crankshaft sensor well done the code has confirmed it I have had air in fuel but this was a fault on its own

ok when cold and after 4/5 miles of driving it's cutting out, high reving all points to crankshaft sensor. driving like a bag of pants when normal temprature.

yup, its exactly what happened to mine. I was able to just get to work 5 mile away in the morning, and JUST made it back in the evening (up hill so engine warmer quicker). When I was diagnosing mine, I used to drive up the road for a few miles and it would nearly always become poor, stall, juddery etc on the way back.

once the new sensor is in, itll feel like a new car!

Company 247

I have had 2 sensors found from the part company 247 1 x £ 40 one £ 48 both with 60 day guarentee They were found from my reg and I can ring to have chat or would you just get a new one. they could be high mileage or from crossover year.

personally, id buy new. wend of the day, its the age of the magnet in the sensor that is partly the issue, so the older it is themore likely it will fail sooner or later. I did try two second hand ones, and both still gave the same issues and code, only when i fitted a new one did everything start working properly. My personal rule is, when it comes to sensors, but new.

yup , i concur with my learned colleague , even though i dont have a ckp sensor :naughty
