Hi everyone
Just paid my tenner (money well spent) and joined.
My partner & myself have had a LWB Terrano 2 05reg 2.7 for nearly 3 years and its been an excellent bus for `My family and other animals` !! In garage this week for front nearside wheel bearing. I am night shifts this week and cannot be bothered to do job !!
Myself..... I have just acquired a Wreg 2000 SWB 2.7, now she prefers driving that, than the LWB !!
Anyway, been very please with my bargain £800 SWB, but a few probs to report & hopefully sort.
The most important one, is that the heater temp dial was missing, found it, but does not slot into the dial housing. Used pliers to adjust heating to cool, but still pumps out hot air. Guess its a flap on matrix somewhere ??
Your advise would be greatly appreciated.
Tip: change your windscreen jets to Citreon misting types, much better. :clap

Hi. Welcome

Have a look behind the glove box, my guess is the clips broken or come off that holds the cable

Welcome mate lots on here, but I cannot help much on motors after 99, but I have got 7 pre 99, only 2 not running, Rick

welcome! thanks for the washer jet tip when I get my Terrano ill get a set!

as for your heating, hard to say. Constant heat does suggest the flaps are stuck, but on your model im not 100% sure if the mechanism is the same as the mid-nineties terrano.

I doubt its the matrix, because you are getting heat - your issue is simply blocking the heating duct, which suggests the flap is come loose or when you are using the pliers, the dial isn't turning the mechanism behind the dash, and that's where I would start.:thumbs

up to 99 the hot/cold lever operated a valve on the water pipe, do not know if the later models are the same, Rick

Thank you very much for your warm welcome :thumb2
Yeah, really haven't had time to have a good look yet, but all tips taken onboard.
Another tip I was given, is get extra washer jet pipe and wrap it around warm water pipe of matrix, then attach to your jets. I have done this on my Vitara and works a treat in the winter. Just 4 turns around the pipe works :thumb2
