I got a couple of the large Nissan ones - Do they go on dry or should i wet the panel first? - do i need to prepare the surface at all,or just stop worrying and slap them on?
Most self adhesive stickers are best put on prior to soaking in warm water having cleaned the surface down with methelated spirits.
Took me back to 1968 when my late father had a new car a Brabham Convertion HB Vauxhall Viva - it had a 'Moustache' self-adhesive stripe that wrapped over the bonnett and down the side of the car !
We spent ages trying to get the air bubbles on the curved section out until we read the instructions about applying when wet !
I watched Jonathanm putting a large club sticker on a spare wheel carrier some years ago at one of the club rallies .
he applied it wet and used a squeegee to flatten it.
he made a good job as well.:thumb2
Hi Ourkid
Done some sticker-sticking on boats and was taught by a professional. Clean the panel of all wax and grease with a mild solvent and then spray it with water before removing the backing and positioning your sticker. Once you have it in the exact position you want, expel the air bubbles with a squeegee starting from the centre working outwards to complete the job.

Your best bets to put it on dry, the top application tape can be a sod to get off if you've soaked the vinyl too much. You need to dry it off with a heat gun or hair drier to make the glue dry.
Just use a pin to get rid of air bubbles, if you use enough pressure when applying you shouldn't get that many. But then again I apply these day in day out.

Clean and T Cut the area that the decals are to be applied onto but DO NOT USE ANY POLISH
Peel back the corner of the backing (White paper) at 45 degrees, so that the one corner comes down below the rest of it.
Line up the decal and place the exposed corner of it on your car. Smooth out the exposed decal and backing and slowly work to the other end while peeling the White backing away. Expose and inch then smooth.... expose an inch then smooth.
Once the decal is applied, carefully remove the clear carrier film.
Once the decal is applied you can then polish the area to protect :thumb2
