About 11,5 months after last time. Exactly the same oil, same brand, same spec (Kroon Oil, 80w90 LSD oil). Mind you: only mild offroading done, and in total did about 10000 km (6000 miles).

New one on the left, old one on the right.

did you get the diff noise that tells you it needs changing,i did,but mine was no where as dark as yours.once changed the noise went.

The oil will look dark in colour, as it picks up the LSD friction material in suspension.
If it looks gloopy it is probably overdue for a change.
In fact, it might be a good idea to purge it out, ie, change the oil, run it a few hundred miles, then change it again.
You don't need to be off roading to get this.
Ordinary road use will do it, more especially if the rear tyres are not the same type, same tread depth and same pressures.
Roundabouts and normal turns, will cause the LSD to slip, this is normal.

You MUST use LSD gear oil on the rear axle.
The front axle is NOT an LSD so ordinary gear oil for that one.

Did not have problems, just preventive maintenance since I have a long drive coming up next week. Did gearbox oil as well, engine oil has recently been changed already.
