question that is :smile: ,just wondering if the fan behind the rad should run all the time or not,

Hi devs,yes the fan will turn all the time it's on a viscous coupling,and will make a noise when you start her up then die away!! :wink:

hi devs.
as cosmic says turns all the time ,but roars away when first started from cold then ,after a few minutes ,the bi metal strip in side heats up and lets the fan free spin.
But if engine gets hot bi metal strip heats up even more and engages viscus coupling and drives the fan again and cools engine .
i notice this more when towing my caravan . in hot weather or stuck in traffic.
when the rad gets old the fins drop out and this can cause problems with over heating.
