Original Engine is the TD27I year 2000 fly by wire bosch system ..... donor engine was year 1998 fly by wire zexel system .
1.I have rebuilt my damaged engine now and I needed to fit my bosch pump to the donor engine as it originally had a zexel pump.I lined up the timing marks for the pump but after looking on a pdf file it says that there are marks on the vacuum pump as well. The engine was at TDC and the pump and idler gear wheel Z marks lined up but I didn't line any marks up on the vacuum pump(Would this make a difference at all).
2.I am pretty sure I timed it correctly but could some one point me in the right direction to the correct method and to what position the push rods valves should be in as I am now thinking it could be out a revolution..
3.I dont' know how to stop the alarm going off at the moment as I have managed to press the wrong buttons on the fob and now it goes off when I connect the battery up (How do I reset it or at least disable it so I can carry on my work ) )The fob needs repair and I don't think I will be able to press the buttons again now as I removed the cover and the little push pads are knackered.
Thanks for any help
Dave
