Looks like a good weekend as long as there not making it look better than it is or will be.

Is this the place that Davmud was on about moving the National rally too? maybe get a better turn out as its more in the middle of the country rather than the East.

Also a good chance for all them that say they would like to meet up but never do!.

45 Mins to an hour from the 2nd Capital of England, must be very central for a meet and loads to do and see too.

Its all a balancing act Mick.

The missus has no interest whatsover in 4x4s and our weekends off together are important as we're like the proverbial ships in the night during the week.

I for one was genuinely interested in the Orkneys trip but unfortunately the the only way I'd get time off that week would be by handing my notice in !

This however coincides with some time off.

Its a shame work gets in the way of interesting things

I understand what your saying Daved people cannot always make it or afford it but for a lot its very nearly on there door step.

Bit difficult to tell but as Land Rovers are banned there shouldn't be much for them.

Think I'm going to take a stand but will have to see - it needs supporting really, if its even halfway there this year it bodes well for the future if turn out is poor its unlikely to happen again I'd have thought.

i have not been to any of the 4x4 meets there but there is a truly huge car park and you could fit a good 40-50 stalls in there with parking but if you are going for the off roading mainly don't waste your breath, here are some pics of the last time i went:

If you are only going for the off roading you will have a good time but after about 1.5 - 2 hours you'll be bored of it.

Well I like the Idea Shame Was not advertised earlier in the year.

We have the Club Nation That Same Weekend we are either going to change venues or may go for a group trip...

I fancy this myself, i am to tight to pay a tenner just like daved and usualy dont pay at all to pitch a caravan! though i do make exceptioins for decent events.

the national rally is a bit far and a bit costly for my tastes but this would be good!

I even have a few stabalisers Blade type) in my shed i can bring along if anyone needs one LOL :thumbs

there is good on site bits, toliets, showers, sinks with hot and cold water provided by geni but i am not sure what times during the day the geni will be turned on. there is a small sort of cafe/bar thing there but again don't know if the organisers have payed extra for it.
