I know what you're saying, but at the same time I understand the decision of the organisors. That if they allow a Ford Maverick, then they have to allow the Citroen C1, Peugeot 107, Ford Fiesta etc.

Again, I'm sorry about the decision :(

I would be up for a couple of nights camping, problem is the kids start back to school that week so won't be able to do the whole 4 days.probably turn up Friday afternoon/ evening and leave on the Sunday evening.
Where abouts in Derbyshire are you swiper?
I'm in Alfreton.

I'm in New Tupton, the other side of Clay Cross.
I recently requested you on Facebook (Shaun Kirk), sorry I never introduced myself:doh. It was my father in law, Jim, who spoke to you in Alfreton a few weeks ago about your winch and bumper.

I'll be going regardless as I've got a trade stand booked again. But I think I'm going to try and book a small club stand as there's a couple of family members bringing their Terranos too. Anyone is welcome to join us. Just send me a pm.

I think they are right... They have to draw a line, and that line is easy... Cars with Jap badges only.

After all, most of the people who buy the "Non Jap" version of a car are buying it because they think they are getting something better. My Boss got a Ford Probe, as he thought having a Ford would be better than the Mazda... poor deluded guy.

Well then by extension the Jap show powers that be should only accept Mistrals. Mistral is Jap, and terranos are Spanish as are the FORD mavericks :doh

I'm afraid their mind doesn't see it like that. It all goes on the manufacturer's nationality.
It would be a very empty show if they only allowed vehicles that were built in Japan. There's three Japanese manufacturers located in England alone producing around 6 different models.

I agree. And I'd pick the jap version on most days. Except if you can't get the same trim levels in the jap version. Take my wife's fiesta mk7 for example, 59 reg Econetic 1.6 tdci 76mpg and zero road tax, but you can't get that spec in a Mazda2

Ahh right:thumb2
It all makes sense now.
How's jim getting on with the winch bumper?
Saw him briefly last week in passing but didn't have the chance to stop and chat.

We've not started on it yet. Struggling with time. We did his body lift a couple of weeks ago though.

Is he going for the full bumper or just the hidden tray?
Thinking of going full bumper for my next project.
Also looking at a winch for the rear but have yet to give it any serious thought.
Same here with time, working 6 days a week and you keep turning these shotblasted generator units round in no time so busy, busy. :thumb2
