Please find to all the reply i got from the organizer of this weekend. Ideas please
Thanks for the enquiry. It's good to see the clubs taking such an interest in Jap ‘n’ Jeep Jam, it's something that will help make it an annual event!
Anyway ... the National Rally Club Discount. As the 12 members who are interested at present are likely to double or even treble in number, I can offer the following discounts for clubs providing that:-
a) Members provide evidence of membership when booking (a membership number?) whether it be in advance or on the day.
b) I can publicly announce that Nissan 4x4 Owners Club will be holding their National Rally at Jap ‘n’ Jeep Jam. This way it gives the event yet more credibility, plus it informs Nissan 4x4 owners in the general public (these being potential members of course) that you will be there.
Advance booking: Providing members book a minimum of two weeks in advance of the event (i.e. before 20th June 2009) – minus 20% on all admission/camping bookings.
Pay on the day: Minus 10% members discount for admission and/or camping.
Also at Jap ‘n’ Jeep Jam, clubs can camp directly behind their Club Display Stands. This means that clubs can have their communal area within sight of the actual stand – very handy for keeping an eye on things! This is also important because at many events the Club Display Stands will be located within the showground area with the committee members camping directly behind the stand (this usually being adjacent to the Trade Stands), and the ordinary everyday members having to camp way over the other side of the venue in the Camping Area. This obviously splits the club in two, something that won’t be happening at Jap ‘n’ Jeep Jam.
{b]Further Information[/b] there are two sides to the Sibbertoft venue –
Corporate via www.avalancheadventure.co.uk operated by the site owner. Here you wifind a lot of information relating to Sibbertoft 4x4 Centre such as location maps and contact details (including the postcode).
Off-roading via www.o-g-x.co.uk leased out to a third party to run Pay & Play Days.
Members should be aware that Sibbertoft is not a dedicated camp site, so amenities will be basic, but it does have some facilities we can utilise. Additional toilets (including disabled) will be hired in to compliment the existing male and female ‘china’ toilets and shower on site, the latter is normally used simply as a wash-down after quad-biking, etc., plus there is a mains drinking water of course. There are no electricity hook-ups, although equipment can be charged by the site owner at the “Avalunch” food hut.
Historically Sibbertoft has always been a very secure site, in fact it even boasts its own 24-hour security cover, but for Jap ‘n’ Jeep Jam the level will be increased due to the additional machinery and equipment being imported for the event.
Seemingly clubs are just starting to wake up now Spring is in the air, so despite having been well received and talked about since January, they have only this week started booking up. As for trade Stands, although never billed as a ‘trade show’ but more of a “4x4 gathering”, enquiries have likewise shot up of late so come July there are likely to be a fair number in attendance – more than expected certainly! Put it this way, based on 12 years experience organising shows and events, I just know that Jap ‘n’ Jeep Jam will be a success first time out; the healthy level of interest speaks volumes!
That’s about all I can tell you for now, but I’m sure the two aforementioned websites will fill in the remaining blanks.
