hi guys, i have a 2 tonne trolley jack and wondered A: where are the safest jacking points for the mav and B: is a 2 tonne jack good enough?

cheers, si :nenau

underneeth,
and yes good enough, just use axel stand if going under.
manual will have jacking points.

2 tonne jack willbe fine but you may struggle for height unless its a full size one.

Anywhere under the chassis it'self (not the body or sills) is suitable for jacking.

At the front the centre of the rear part (flat bit) of the bash plate is ideal.
At the back the centre of the rear diff.
To lift one rear wheel jack under the appropriate axle tube.
To lift one front wheel jack on the appropriate side of the rear of the bash plate.

As said above if you've got it in the air for anytime or are going underneath (however briefly) use axle stands.
