i love my Nissan but iv got to sell it after buying and passing its MOT with flying colors.

its just costing me to much :eek::eek::eek:

i mean this car is brilliant i can not fault it in any way accept on fuel 2.4i i putting in 70 quid in a week for work and thats not even filling it pass the 2 gallon mark im just constant filling it up.

i have a big family i wanted something so that if i get into a smash then i know my children are safe as peas in a pod. i carnt afford anything over 500 quid but because im a window cleaner just started off its killing me im not even seeing any profits just my petrol going down the drain

That's unfortunate mate, but yes, these cars aren't very economical at all. You'd be better with a sturdy Volvo or Mazda 6 perhaps. If your budget is £500, then its tricky to get something big, economical and safe. Personally, I'd keep the truck, and go buy yourself a cheap Corsa for the window cleaning. My window cleaner got little cross or £500 believe it or not, mint, ladders sit on top nice and he saysiit costs him next to nowt!

Get rid of it, find a diesel and run it on cooking oil at £0.80 per Ltr.

Safe and cheap. :clap

Gotta Sell

I've seen a lot of guys go on about using various types of cooking oil, what preperation do you do to car to make it work and what's the pro's & con's?
I've got a 96 2.7TDi Mav.

Its important to do the preperation first, this will includ going to the shop and buying cooking oil, the next step is to pour it into the tank and the third part is start the engine....Thats it.

They will run very happy on cooking oil with no messing about, you just pour and go, its that simple. When its cold though like now, its best to mix it withe about 50% diesle or a bit of petrol (Not a lot needed though)

What pump does your old blue one have, Bosch ? Mechanical or electric thottle ?

Pros are........Its alot cheaper then Diesel

Cons are.......You will need to change the fuel filter more offten as the cooking oil will clean all the crap out the fuel tank when you start to use it.

As you can see, one of mine is also a maverick but a 97.

Gotta sell

So who sells cheapest cooking oil? Tecso's?????

im not so sure you can rely on getting enough cooking oil for a weeks worth of driving, and save enough money?? i cant imagine being able to pop down to the local Aldi to buy 50 litres worth of cooking oil??

ive been looking out for some cheap stuff for years and i cant find anywhere sellign any round here much cheaper than diesel. probably not looking properly...!

where does everyone get theirs from?

What about Indian food shops, don't they sell cooking oil in 50 litre drums?

I can't believe you don't have to adjust something or whatever!

Me too!
Think I'll mix it with diesel to start with and see how it runs.

really?? and they have no issue with someone buying so much?

im gonna have a go.....:bow

Most places won't and if they do who cares? It's perfectly legal. I would of bought more but I was about to go to a play and pay site and did not want too much sloshing about in the back.

Farmfoods have a voucher for that price, google farmfoods voucher.
