Is my R3m remote locking, how do I find out?

Hi again all,
Still looking for an owners manual if anyone can help. I only have 2 basic keys that come with my R3m imported terrano, how can I tell if it was originally fitted with remote locking capabilities.Another problem i have is the electric mirror switch on the dash indicates a setting to close the mirrors in,but nothing happens. I can adjust the mirror glass either side from the switch but not close them, is there a relay or something i'm missing.
appreciate any help as i'm having real trouble without a manual or anything.

Hi all and thanks, not sure about the model type it's a 1993 r3m terrano, with the 2.7 TD engine & manual gearbox, it has a bonnet scoop fitted which must have been an option as I haven't seen any of this year with the scoops and the intake filter fitted to top of the engine. It was imported in 2004 and is remarkably clean, i'll try and post some photo's when I learn how to upload them.

no both were / are fantastic in there own ways.

sounds like its got a tdi engine fitted
