:?:  :?:  May I put this suggestion before you? 880 members at present ...........We could have the "Mother of all gatherings" to celebrate reaching 1,000! To take the financial burden off each member ,we could have it split into local areas? Is it acheivable? Start thinking and saving now; Please post as many veiws as possible,Because that's what makes the club so special

If things grow at the present rate it may coincide with the 2008 national rally? 1000 members would certainly be something to celebrate!

now theres a good idea well done i sugest midlands so everyone got the same to travel

A big meet would be quite somthing! the Midlands is not in the middle of the UK though.

my mates farm wouldve been ideal but hes been busy sub dividing the fields so he can seperate all his goats he keeps buying,i can imagine some poor sod waking up to see goat staring him in face having eaten through side of his tent!

I'd eat the goat right back! Mikey wouldent have that trouble!

see an opportunity to enhance you geographical knowledge at the same time what more could you ask for!

we only have one venue for caravans though Himley Hall, I did offer it up as a venue for a mini meet and a trip to the classic car show with no takers in the past though, so i dont expect any this time around

My dad gruw up in the midlands so I can imagine him saying it witha brummie accent!

I got a tape measure out and as far as i can work out .
In a straight line from shetland to plymouth the middle is.
HORIZONTALLY
Londenderry, Water, Dumfries, newcastle upon tyne & water.
Please bear in mined, I have only crossed the border once in my life & Iv'e never flown [Yes even my wife agrees with your'e thoughtsI'm very SAD]

would this event just been a 'show' or did you have some offroading in mind?

i know this is a long shot, but i was reading total offroad the other day, and they had a feature in there about a place near wrexham called motor safari. ive just been looking at the webiste. ithe site looks well catered, nothing to damaging for the 'soft' roaders out there

Large scale events of over 1,000 guests.

just an idea
