im thinking of upgrading to leather seats as opposed to cloth ones, primarily because i think they would look nicer, but also because my partner is expecting and i figured baby sick is easier to clean off leather.

the quandary i have is does anyone know how much a set would cost and are the as comfortable, and good for offroading?

id have a set of nice cloth ones to sell if i did go ahead and dont know if they would be easily sellable to cover part cost

any advice would be welcomed :bow

yeah ive seen a few interiors in the past for sale, generally cheap for what you get. The leather seats, IMO, are much more sturdy and comfortable, so for offroading, better (because they are easier to clean but also seem to provide better support).

I am upgrading the cloth seats in my Stilo shortly, i collect the set on Saturday. I am paying £70 for them, generally they are good, just a tiny bit of tidying required hence the price.

In the past, I have seen decent sets for the Maverick go for less than £200...

so is £250 for a set, inc the rear in a 7 seater pricey?
ive got a set of half leather seats for a saab that ive got left over, hoping to sell them

Try cncfabs or other breakers who are members on here for set of leather seats. I agree that the leather seats do look nicer but as for cleaning seats after kids, milk, sick etc. tends to go on the inserted child seats mostly or on the floor carpet. Would be a bit nervous about the leather seats when children get a little older as they wouldn't be as easy to stitch seams on and would be a lot easier to stick holes in--but maybe my bunch are just off the wall
Be careful though when looking at seats that you get seats with or without air-bags depending on whether you have air-bags in the seats now or not.

you will find the driver seat base will be worn/split, both of my terranos have leather and both had this problem, they are comfy though:thumb2

I know nothing about cleaning a kids projectile vomit off a interior, but what I do know it they aren't real leather, they are vinyl so I've been told.

think the seats now have airbags, although its a nice look, i am primarily thinking that it will be easier to clean off baby mess

I've got leather seats in mine - look good but the leathers cracked to hell on the front seats :(

True enough, cloth seats on mine are ruined from milk, sticky sweets etc. and leather would definately be easier to keep. Don't know what year you Terrano is but my 00 T2 has no seat air-bags but the 03 has them on front seats only.

There was an old thread on here somewhere about swapping cloth seats for leather seats. A search might yield some results and some useful info. Bst of luck with the project.

For offroad comfort and security I use high back bucket seats :D
You can also get brilliant waterproof seat covers that do look good too. They can be hosed off if the sproggs explode :lol
