Hi I have tried searching and finding common problems with the instrument cluster. It seems my 2004 2.7tdi terrano II has decided to stop the gauges from working originally all dials and lcd display went off, removed the room lamp 10amp fuse and it reset for a few days. Then on my way back from the lakes the lcd display and dials went funny all 4 dials now don’t work the trip stays on 000.0 and my miles have stayed on 144916 even though I have covered at least 90 miles since the dials went down most people I see on here have either the lcd go off or just the speedo dial go off mine is all 4 and likes of the coil light no longer illuminate any advice or help had the back of dash off can’t see any faulty dry solder joints help before I fork out for AC Tronics to remanufactured the unit. At a cost of £114+vat 😒

I have only experienced solder dry joints on these, but you need a glass to see if they are bad, but now do not bother and just resolder all of them, even my Patrol rev counter looked perfect even under a high power glass, but with nothing to lose resoldered them anyway, harder cos this board is a lot smaller, it has been perfect eversince, Rick

Cheers mate will have a better look at it tonight see if can get it back on the road ASAP
