should be dry seems like needle is not seating properly/ worn = new or refurb required

every chance, it's just dribbling fuel in to cyl and not burning it. should be smoking a bit

IT SMOKES A BIT ON START UP THEN CLEARS UNTIL IT GETS WARM THEN I GET BLUEY WHITE SMOKE ON PULLOFF AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS UPTO ABOUT 35MPH THEN SEEMS OK AGAIN, COULD THE INJECTOR BE THE PROBLEM
AS I HAD A DIESEL TEST AND IT IS READING 1.50 ON FAST TEST BUT COULD THE INJECTORS BE OK ON HIGH REVS OVER 1800 RPM IM NOT SURE:confused:

colour of smoke points to injector, worth doing the full set.
not as noticeable at higher revs is typical
when sitting at t/lights unburnt fuel is building up in cyl = when you set off higher revs improves the spray pattern of injector and so burns off fuel!

Can you please tell me why all the garages around the west mids get worried when you say it,s an import because from what i can see my mistral is basicly the same as the terrano apart from the chrome pack and the indicator is on the left hand side of the steering wheel also the brake shoes the engines seem to be the same spec can you shed any light on this at all :)
cheers mark .

Trick is dont tell them when you book it in and see if they notice :thumb2

Otherwise some traders just put the price up from the start, if its not body work etc it normally wont make a difference to minor repairs
