Hi all, I'm always on the lookout for a new set of injectors for my 02 27tdi as she's done over 200,000 now and I want to treat her!! On eBay there is a new set of 4 for £170 but it says that there is no electronic injector, I may be wrong but I didn't think these were right.
There is also sets of 4 injector nozzle kits for £60, has anybody had any experience with just replacing the nozzle?
Any help or advice would be muchley appreciated.
Matt

if it runs well dont mess...

have aset just in case if you feel yo uneed to though

if you struggle to find new, it may be because reconditioned is as good....?? only problem ther eis you have to remove them, send them off and wait for the return but i heard the quality of refurb is top notch as they clean properly, and replace the insides!

She runs nice, is a little sluggish but I think they all are! Lol! Think I'm just being too nice to her! I normally run cars into the ground but the terrano gets looked after for some reason! Think ill leave it for now and save the pennies for when something breaks!
Thanks for the advice guys

aye this is it, if you start messing removing the injectors you risk damage to the pipes and so on!

perhaps some injector cleaner will help a little, clean the MAF etc etc

I got my old set re-nozzeled & they look like new compared to how they were :D

Just get a 2nd hand set & get them re-nozzeled or look on ebay :thumbs

Sure you can buy new nozzles and fit them but they have to be set up on a pressure machine, nozzle are very accurate bits of kit but when fitted to your old bodies the cracking pressure can vary wildly, if say your injectors should crack at 180 atmospheres and they actually crack at 200 then not only are you stressing the pump but the motor will run like a bag of bones, in any case 200k is nothing Cummins NT engine were not run in till 500k as long as they got clean fuel and regular oil changes, Rick
