I have cocked my indicators up by overloading the towing circuit.:doh

the problem is this, they work when i indicate left, when i indicate right the flasher gives a double clik and then blows the fuse.

does anyone know where the flasher/relay is?

or any other advice?

I have tried a few things but so far no joy

if you can sort this out i wil be your friend forever, or until one of our memberships lapses whichever is the sooner, please read small print below for terms and conditions of this friendship offer :thumbs

Cheers for the fast response briggie but i am struggling to find any reference to any part of the indicator system in there at all!

might come under warning lamps .. i dunno , will check the complete manual for you

i've got the diagaram but it's not enlightening me much  I still can't work out where the relay is or even if there is one?

just looked at it mate and there is no reference to the indicators or their relay / flasher as far as i can see:confused:

should tell you on the top of the box that holds the relays

that's what i thought too!

on the daigarm in the manual it lists ehich one is which and none of them, inside or out appear to be indicator related.

i have even had half the dash out and the clocks and can't find anything, the only clickingfomr the indicators seems to be acctualy inside the clock panel! it is curently all in bits over the front seats :doh

I was wondering if the realy inside the clocks was simply and audible warning of the indicators, i.e the familliar click click and the real gubins was hidden somewhere else?

As i it is actualy inside the dsplay, it looks like a whole new display required!

Sounds likw a short M8 :nenau

yes! but where is the question, hence my wanting to find the indicator relay, I've never found one to be completely hidden before.

I am assuming everyhintg afet the realy is working as one side of the indicators works and does not blow a fuse so it must be somwhere between the towbar wiring and the relay, but without finding the relay where do you start?

TCU or timer control unit seems to control all this, so where is it then?

I'm not sure if they changed the wiring from mine (non ecu & intercooler) to the T2 & various face-lifts.?
But my 1 has 2 fuses & a relay under the steering column as i just had a look for ya. :thumbs

What did you do different or change for it to do it.?

Electrics really piss me off as it always ends up being something stupid  :doh :augie :lol

according to the manual the ones under the column are

ingnition relay

curcuit breaker?

blower motor relay

I overloaded the circuit with too many lights on a trailer and blew the fuse, now it is blowing by itself

Thought it is ontop of the fusebox down on the d/side dash..

i'll have another search tomorrow, hter is nothing that appears to click or you can feel moving when the indicator is running except the top left hand corner of the clocks and guages panel, so is there a mini relay inside there?
