Just failed MOT due to above,
Tester said he couldnt fail it on shockers due to no leaks etc but said they needed changing as they were saggy?
I said that I could sort clearance by knocking bump stop off or winding up tortion bars, he just said that that was up to me but bump stops were there for a reason...
What do you guys think?
Do I change shocks or bodge it with tortion bar wind up?
Feel Ive been stitched!:nenau

What a tosser

I have no arb and no stops, lads don't even care, its utter bollocks anyway

Shocks don't hold a vehicle up. Wind up the torsion bars a bit and go n get ur ticket. :thumb2

Mine failed because I had none, used landy ones and secured them with cable ties. Sorted. If the torsion bar adjustment doesn't work, try shave some of the rubber from the existing stops, probably need a good stanley knife or similar.

The rubber fell off mine ages ago - I think its had several MOTs since then. :nenau

Mine like most peoples are missing.

Remember if you wind Torsion Bars up the headlamps will then go out of alignment too so it'll give him something else to fail.

Also remember you now do not have a valid MOT so technically your vehicle is off the road and you can be fined for not having an MOT.

Think the bloke was being too harsh and I would suggest going elsewhere, despite this fail being available to all MOT testers they may disagree with his fail and pass you.

Good Luck
