Phoned Nissan Today,

Its a european import from Cypress, I have heard before that a lot were imported from there and not so well seaed aparently  but I think they would be sealed just the same.

well a couple of tins of wax oil and a day with a compressor and parafin gun would soon see to that! stand the waxoil in a bucket of very hot water to thin it and spray away!

this has been discussed in depth in a recent thread but basically i prefer wax oil as it can bleed over small scratches etc picked up off road and does not hold moisture, but on the down side it doesnt last forever, but then what does? and if ytou steam clean the bottom of the car regularly you will slowly wash it all off aagain!

I allways steam clean the bottom of the vehicle a day or two before, and stand the waxoil in a bucket of very hot water (close to boiling) wit the lid off! to thin it (you can further thin it with white spirits) then up on the ramp and spray it everywhere (but not your brakes!) with a parafin gun and a long thin nozzel you can do inside chassis rails etc, you can even take of door cards and do inside door bottoms etc.

it is availabe in black or clear.

guessing that would make it a parallel import NOT grey as built for another ec market, warranty should apply but may find corrosion warranty reduced tieing in with rust proofing issue.

our local agent was doing very late terranos at much reduced prices new compared to nissan agent. these were parallels too.

Hey RBRT nice to see you back mate 8)

how long is the body work / corrosion warranty on a new nissan?

would it make much difference on an 02 car?

If the car is imported,if you have a warranty defect, will you not have to take it back to the country it was imported from.
I was told this with my previouse car.
It was a Renualt Laguna sports Tourer imported from southern Ireland,i took it to a local Renault garage about a paint bubble, they said the warranty only aplied in Southern ireland and that i would have to take it back there....to which i laught at his face and walked out 8)

yeagh sure you have no warranty mitsi won at europeen court think it was over the evos being imported undercutting dealers they complained they were not uk spec cars so were not going to be suporting them

I went to Arnold Clark Nissan Dealership in perth the other day, gave them the VIN number to get a part, they told me its definatly a UK vehicle!

I would stick with that opinion then and put all doubt behind you!
