Hi everyone been many years since I was last here & to tho's who remember hope you have all been keeping well:D & to tho's I don't hi for the first time:thumb2
Sold my dear SWB Terrano 4 years ago & bought a Disco2 4L V8 was a nice motor to drive & the sound of the big V8 was fantastic but the huge repair bills & 4MPG in sport mode wasn't much fun at all & it was cr@p off road & couldn't do was the old T2 could sold it just over 2 years ago after it slipped a liner & the engine block went pourus so went back to my roots of performance cars & got a very rare (only 15 in the UK) Astra coupe great performance & MPG but have been longing for another Terrano & after 18 month of hunting & looking at around 40 Terrano's i've at last found one in my eyes worth the asking price so next week i'll have a 55 plate LWB SE:D

Good to hear from ya dude, I'd seen summat on FB about this new purchase. You'd better get some photo's to show us:thumbs

Cheers Ryan:thumb2 Hope your all keeping well Jim, i'll get some pic's up once I get it but it's silver over grey with only 51K on the clock & almost rust free so will get on top of the couple of early rust spots asap before it gets a hold but the boot floor is perfect. It's got the pimp 17" rims on it but as I like them they'll be stopping but might get a colour change & bigger tyres. Most of my old mods will be done on this one & will prob get the ECU remapped as I can get it done cheap

Nice mate. Is it in before the jump in road tax ? Some are like £280 a year then in late 2005 (I think) it jumps to £400 a year tax

Welcome back Sweety, it has been a long time.:thumb2

I have still got my Mav and still passing MOT's, so why change it.:nenau
I knew these we good motors, that's why I've kept it for 18 + years.

No doubt you will be checking the downloads when you become a full member again.

best regards,

Rustic

Hi stinka ( that sounds wrong :lol )the change was 2006 IIRC so i'm sure it's the lovely £280 a year tax but thats only £10 more than what i'm paying now for my Astra
Hi rustic yes it's been a while but pleased to hear you still have the mav:thumb2

Done some digging around on the net & DVLA's site Jim & as long as it was registered before the 23 March 2006 the road tax is £280 a year but after this date it's £480:eek: Saying that it's rare you see an 06 plate Terrano infact I think i've only ever seen 2 I wonder why:lol Your right Jim about the condition of the younger T2's you just have to spend the time hunting down a good 1 & TBH I said I was only going to look at the 1 i've bought & another 1 then I was going to give up & start looking for a xtrail as we need something to pull a van in a couple of years but sadly an xtrail wouldn't cope with the flood water we get but who cares getting a T2 that will cope:D

briggie i think your right.. i still log on every few days and i sold the troll 14 months ago:lol:lol

My truck is out of action just now, I'm concentrating on my 1.0 Hyundai, and annoying everyone with it:lol:lol

Well after a few days of owning a T2 again my passion for motors has come back even stronger:clap got a few little mods planed. Do the gear knobs just screw off on the later models like the earlier ones ? Just these seem stuck fast & can't move them:doh also has anyone replaced the single din stereo is it the whole centre consol out job like the old ones or can you just pop off the front suround ? Not putting in a huge sound system this time just a single 10" sub & amp
