Sorry but if i dont credit the vectra to sheila she gets in a strop.
;)any way its white in colour. x reg 18slx. 70k
we have had it 6yrs.
still in pretty good nick.
its got a spoiler on the back that has recently started to bubble up and lift the paint like a blister which we can move about
I think its water getting into the foam inner and then lifting the paint.
when the sun has been on it for a few weeks it dries out and the blister goes away.
I cannot see any cracks in the paint on top of spoiler but think thats where water is getting in.
any ideas how to seal it..

I have never experienced this problem before but in my opinion...

Don't prick the blister...

It could be getting in through the bottom of the spoiler, and "wicking" to the surface.
You could dry it out by removing the spoiler, and placing in a warm dry location, eg bottom of airing cupboard, maybe for a week or more.
After that you could then consider sealing the bottom of the spoiler, how is the bottom of the spoiler finished, there has to be a couple of fixings per side?

Don't forget to place some waterproof tape over the holes in the car.

Hope this helps,
Best regards,
Rustic

Never heard os seen that either :nenau

I'd agree to take it off n dry it out :thumbs

Possible nip over it with wet n dry & re-lacker it
once dry
re-fit on car with clear silicone on the bottom

Let us know what ya do & the result

:thumbs
