So I was running low on fuel today, however I had 40 litres of SVO in the back so decided to pull over and fill up on a quiet country lane.
I've drilled out the lid of a cubie and added a Schrader tyre valve on one side and a tank connector and tap to another. I can then plug this into my 12v tyre compressor and force the oil out into the fuel tank.
Now that works absolutely fine until you get distracted.
Today I realised I hadn't opened the tap fully, just I went to correct it there was a loud bang. I proceeded to then be covered in a 20litre shower of KTC;s finest Veggie oil. :doh
Luckily the girlfriend was finding it too difficult to hold her bladder so couldn;t hold a camera and post a photo on facebook.
So, whilst I clean out the back of the car this afternoon I think I should have a look on eBay for a pump as that's far safer them leaving an idiot like me in charge of any kind of pressurised vessel.:stupid
