Let me know how you get on as i was just thinking of fitting a dampener as my suspension seems sloppy not that there is any play i have checked.

True it dose mask a problem.
Or dose it cure a fault with the build?

Motor bikers have been using them for years not because they have a suspension problem but to over come a problem with "wobble"

Nissan din't see fit to fit one to the T2, Blandrovers all have them I think however.

I've got big simex tyres on mine now and a lift and apart from the wheels being a bit out of balance, which I will get sorted I have no shake or wobble at any speed or on any surface. Well apart from at slow speed when you can feel every knobble on the tyres but a steering damper wouldn't solve that as its up and down.

Its my feeling that a steering damper on a T2 could actually make maters worse as it could push the transverse link rod in another direction, and thats the big problem with these the movement of that rod other than side to side.Of course with the link rod mod done there would be no problem but on a standard truck?

Especialy off road with big wheels. My front wheels have a life of their own.Just watch this video of my truck, that's not me wiggling the wheels by the way. It's got new track rod ends and ball joints. It's just that stupid multi jointed steering rod thing that flaps around. So I'm getting one too (steering damper that is)

but the vid shows the drivers side wheel warbling all over the place. thats the side that is not effected by the relay rod and idler and all the joints.

based on that id say if your steering wheel is not giving you feedback of that much woble ..... id be looking at your steering box for play . assuming your ball joints are all still tight
