Call me a skeptical old bugger, but burns 5x quicker and burns almost all particulates (soot) with a cooler burn, well I always understood to burn quicker means to burn hotter, and I could not justify the outlay anyway on a motor that only cost £450 in the first place, so not for me, Rick

Rick,

Your a skeptical old bugger

But I agree its rubbish

the money you save on the extra mpg will no doubt be way less than the money you spend on the special water but you average motorist forgets that bit

Sceptical bloke myself, especially about anything that claims to dramatically improve mpg. For instance a work colleague talks endlessly at the moment about some magnets he brought to put around fuel lines (or something like that, never heard of it) he is convinced they work but I think he is trying to convince himself.

It is quite unbelievable what people will accept as real, even highly skilled professional people, I am constantly amassed at what is claimed and have had many heated discussions regarding these claims but most time I win even if it is years down the line, "power flushing of CH systems" is one of my pet hates yet so many heating guys believe in it, Rick

Does he wear a rainbow cardigan, have purple tinted glasses and have loads of pretty colured stones on his desk?

there are various trucks buses etc already using the process and some company's have there own plant to run them on there home made fuel made from water.i think an electric charge is put through the water to make the gas.
i suspect its distilled water that is used.
in years to come it will be a common fuel.
the magnet idea's been around a long time, and i found a set on a truck i purchased i still have the very very strong magnets but never used them so cant comment if they work or not,but 1 goes each side of fuel pipe and bloody hell they were very hard to get apart.

Ohh, you know him as well :lol

Oddly he is a really intelligent guy when it comes to some things but and I kid you not his wife is into Crystal healing and again is convinced that carrying certain crystals change his attitude towards stress and encourages his general positive energies. Now where did I put my scepticism cap !!!!

LPG as an additive also accelerates the burn. Allowing far more of the diesel dose to burn and so deliver more power.
Many lorries use it as an aid to fuel economy when stuck at 56 mph as more torque available .
LPG delivery does cool the intake charge temps but I'm not sure about overall engine temps , suffice to say mine works :D
So I can't see why Hydrogen wouldn't be doing the same just a lot more expensive

Yes but the costs do not add up it costs more to produce Hydrogen than can be saved in fuel, as for the magnets, utter crap, Rick

Agreed Pete, and as you say the Hydrogen is a lot more expensive, Rick

I have an LPG system sitting doing nothing and am tempted to fit it to my road going motor for more power when towing but struggle to find the space for the gas tank, thought about using small bottles of Propane but it is not the same as road going LPG as that is a mixture of Butane and Propane, Butane being predominant, so pure Propane the pressure will be higher, not sure the regulator can handle the higher pressure, Rick

Nice idea Pete only problem is no time now and it is collect only, think if I follow this rout it will be using readily refillable small regular propane bottles with a standard adjustable regulator, then I can adjust to suite the main regulator, Rick

rick you are right about costs and probably about the magnets, but big concerns dont worry about costs just about trying to be green and costs are always past on to the public.
i am sure there is a chap on here that runs lpg and had good results except it ate clutches till he put a bigger one on.
ant a spare wheel well in tarrono but floor in rear under seats can be made to take a tank,if i remember correctly.i am sure there are photos of it somewhere.
on my old bsa if i wanted a boost i bunged some model airoplane fuel i made in and walla went very well methanol and caster oil.armmmmm i wonder if it will work in diesel on wvo.
