hi guys I know some one that trying to sell their t2 tdi se+ 2001 maroon colour. it has 170k on the clock. it has no rot apart from the front wings starting to bubble above the trim front drive seat ripped all open and he says weeping fuel tank . I call it fill it above half and it leaks a lot . gearbox has the lay shaft bearing gone. so it rattles abit oh and it has a abs light that keeps coming on but no fault with the sensors it to do with the wires up by the pump . now he is asking £1000 . I say it only worth scrap or breaking for parts and rekon £300-£400. he laughed at me and says he will get £1000 because it has 9months mot left . when I pass it I will get the reg and put on here so nobody gets stung by him

look at my truck it's the same colour and shape just with roof bars and cream leather interior . the last 3 letters of the reg is hft . he say it has 4 fairly new tyres on it that's why it's £1000

Value of old Nissan 4 x 4 and running older vehicles.

I always reckon if a 10 year old not perfect 4x4 has 12 months MoT and looks & drives reasonably OK its worth £500 for a years motoring so if its got 9 months ticket its £375 ! The scrap value at the end of the year is a bonus !!

When I parted with my old r3mR (N reg ) it had 12 months 1 week MoT on it and trader allowed me £500 on it against my 04 plated Santa FE I parted with £1200 for the swop.THe Santa FE was very tidy with leather trim, some service history and good bodywork / paintwork.
The r3mR drove ok but both front wings were bubbling and tyres were around 2-3 mm all round.

My Santa Fe 2.7 petrol auto has now done 92,000 miles I think its worth £800 to £1000 it had 79,000 miles on the clock when we bought it in Aug 2013. I will continue to run it until it either becomes uneconomical to repair or the bodywork starts to rust cosmetically as the wife is no fan of rust blisters.

I might have to replace the Catalytic Convertor / front pipes for its next MoT due in March. I am prepared to spend £300 for an aftermarket replacement to ensure we get a few more years out of the devil we now know.

At the end of the day its leaking fuel if Mr visa or Mr dvsa as they are now stop you at the rd side they will pg9 it on the spot
