how many members use the truck to tow a caravan
i do

compass omega 490/4

I tow a boat trailer, 2 tonne and 26 feet long and nearly 10 feet high.

Does that count?

I also tow a small trailer 5 feet x 3 feet, but that doesn't count cos I can tow it with any car.

Regards,
Rustic

I tow lots of caravans as I sell them , also have my own.

Work rest and play :O)

I do to .
swift challenger 3 90 / 2 se.
towed it with terrano and Disco.
Terrano swb pulls it better but disco sits on road better when a hgv passes.

We do, Lunar Lexon Ew twin wheel.:thumb2

I need new tyres for my caravan, then I will also tow a caravan too. I did tow the caravan to storage a month ago, I think the brakes broke too :doh but dont think I need brakes with my truck :)

I do with mine a Swift Conqueror 650 lux twin axle - Damn heavy Lug over Navidale braes
and Berriedale braes every other week going to caravan rallies
Was thinking of changing Terrano but what for???

me too, lots of caravans the largest being arount 28ft x 8ft and weighing around 2500K, also livestock trailers, horse trailers, anything really!

but if youwant a really good stable (on the road) tow, you know what i'm going to say don't you? get a transit van! :lol :thumb2

working brakes are a legal requirment, and, if you break hard and the caravan doesn't it can jacknife and cause an accident, so do be carefull :)

I tow a Compass Rallye 534. Just back from a 5xweek trip to Spain. Loaded to the gunnels, and averaging 21mpg. Would probably have done better if we didnt take so much gear with us.

i'd say a troll having done same upgrade, though i sometimes wonder
if should have chipped the t2.

good thinking , but if i tow my wheelchair ( giving more room inside my truck ) there is a bit of a problem .... the wheelchair has centrifugal brakes , which means if i go about about 5mph it applies the brakes lol

It will be fine once I have a look at it, I think the brakes are working its just the slidey towbar thingy that works the brakes seems to have a bit too much movement in and out. I think the brakes do actually sort of work because I can make the caravan do skidz if i brake hard :clap

it just needs some fine adjustment, but I am not sure exactly how they work yet
