snow has gone know:) might get some work done next week:clap cold just put a coat on:thumbs

dose no one no how to ajust the tick over on this 2000 year t2!!!! help!! if you can:bow think i will be selling it soon....:(

That is abit slow, should be 750rpm. What does it idle at coasting? Should be higher....

coasting!!! you mean when it moving? and i let it idle? its still about the same:nenau cant see how to ajust it!!! as theirs no simple cable its eletronic:(

I have the same problem mate, mine idles at around 5/600, and I get odd issues. if i very very lightly press the pedal it sounds tons better, I would love to adjust mine, but simply cannot find out how to do it. Tried the links on here, cant even reach the little black box and its not even clear HOW you adjust it, doesnt explain...!! As far as I can see, looks like a little sort of distributer, with two conenctors attached, seems you loosen the screws, and adjust along its pivot to adjust idle? but what gets me is, its VERY awkward to get to, and I dont understand why! Every car I have ever owned has been easy to adjust idle,,,, :(

if your t2 is mechanically throttled, (a cable) then you can follow the cable back to the pump and find the cam shaped well, cam. what it stops against is a screw, this will need to be tightened to increase the revs at idle. it will be awkward to adjust but that is the idle control it will be worth checking the throttle pot on the pump too as it may feed ecu with accel position aswell as egr valve. if it electronic, then there will be a throttle position sensor either at the throttle pedal or somwhere with which to reference accelerator position. it will be slightly off if the revs are low either as it has moved slightly, or the contacts are not clean inside the unit. i can't really tell as i am not familiar with electronic controlled throttle on these, but it should be fairly obvious if there is something with wires connected to the accelerator pedal.

is this the idle screw, please bear in mind im inthe office, not with the T2..

if you have an electronically controlled fuel pump, page 301 of the manual link provided shows the accelerator position control unit, it is attatched at the pivot point of the accelerator pedal.
if it is mechanical, then yes, the screw in the diagram shown is the screw you need to tighten to push the idle higher.

thanks for all the posts:clap had another look at the accelerator all i can see is the position sensor!!!and:confused: no other wires leading anyware!! cant see how you would adjust it with this sensor..all their is a cable connected to the peddle and then to a plastic arm which is bolted to the sensor:nenau their is a small nut holding the plastic arm to sensor!!! may be undo the nut and move the arm to up rpm? dont fancy undoing the nut incase it all falls apart:eek:
