How can I tell what fuel pump I've got?

As title, what fuel pump have I got? How can I get to identify it?
I miss Haynes' manuals...

If I knew where the bloody thing was, I'd have a fighting chance of identifying it. I don't know where to look- hence the Haynes comment. :doh

Look at the maf, if its a bosch maf it's a bosch pump. if its a Hitachi maf,it's a zexcel pump,as a rule.

As Jonela says. Bosch are better at coping with veg oil mixes,supposed to be better built.

accepted,1 run both my bosh t2 on wvo with derv/rug mix all year.
funny thing is when i got my first t2 i had nothing but probs with it,took a year to sort out with a ip from rick and been as good as gold since,that was only ever ran on rug.

My Maverick was Lucas and used to run on some of the nastiest WVO I've ever seen and never let me down until i poured conifers in the tank and the swirl chamber jammed up in the fuel tank :doh :lol

Why are you putting paraffin in it?
How much are you putting in?
What does the paraffin do?

I run 50/50 in the summer with out anything other than a shot of Redex every so often, and thats only when I get the Redex very cheap from Costco, otherwise the cost of the Redex eats into the savings of running the Veg, kind of defeating the whole point.

What happens if you get your tanks dipped, as surely that is not something you should be putting in the Tank, I thought that paraffin has always been a big No No in car tanks, as the old VW guys were always being pulled on that in the old days when paraffin was cheaper than petrol/DERV

And... as with the Redex, surely with the extra cost of Paraffin you are doing away with any of the savings of running Veg in the first place as well..

The paraffin is there to improve the combustible properties of the WVO/SVO and also aids the thinning process but in those quantities that its hardly noticeable.

Parrafin/Kerosene/White Spirits are all the same, you are expected to pay fuel duty on any of it if used as a road fuel, WVO/SVO/Biodiesel all fall under the umbrella of the 2500l/year personal usage laws however one thing I've always been interested in is where you we stand on 2EHn?

The paraffin was £6.94 for 4 litres... Vs a 500ml bottle of injector cleaner at £7. far as I'm aware the tax has been paid on it as I bought from B&Q :thumb2

As Banshee says combustible stuff that helps and thins, I actually wanted kerosine as that is the main ingredient in injector cleaner but could not find any on the shelf :thumb2

The standard VAT has been paid on it but as Banshee says, if using it as road fuel you're meant to pay fuel duty on it - so you'd still be in trouble if dipped. Kerosene is the same.

fuel additives have have duty paid so no worries.anything that you put in your tank needs fuel tax/vat paid on it,even wast engine oil if you want to use it.its not illegal just taxable.when i take delivery of heating oil kerro,which will run a diesel engine with some extra oil mixed in,i sign a declaration that it is not for road use.
it is not worth being dipped,find and transport taken and crushed.
kero smells totally different from derv as does wvo/svo when put in and run.
