PM solarman216 failing that let me know and I'll see what I can do

I had a problem with that hose, I have a TD, hard to get at, wheel off, then remove skirt.
So well hidden it took years to locate the leak, tightening the clips solved the problem

only ever saw one T2 with vac pump on alternator, long time ago now, but cannot imagine it can be that hard to find a pipe to fit, Rick

We got it :)

Just remove the hose and measure the internal diameter and swap those nasty clips for some nice jubilee ones, that type that you have fitted are awful!!! A normal rubber hose will do you from a motor spares shop

silicone vacuum hoses

I replaced a similar hose on my old r3mR I removed the old hose and measured the i/d then ordered some silicone vacuum pipe online. I then used a bit of bent copper pipe on the bends so the hose did not flatten. You can also buy silicone vacuum hose with bends preformed if you prefer to keep the weight down but the cost ads up. I used a combination of these methods to replace all the vacuum hose from pump to the relevant bits under the bonnet.

All sourced from e-bay by planet_silicone.

All STOP STOP, this is the oil return hose from the vac pump, it needs to have a continuous fall from pump to engine, Rick
