Has anyone done this? I think the standard Mav one sounds a little dare I say it...... gay!!!! haha

I was on holiday in Italy recently and I wouldn't mind a coach one as they sounded like the ones you get on trains lol

I don't really want much of a faff to be honest so I might just try and get one from another car if possible.

Could anyone recommend one? I want something deep but loud if you know what I mean, the Mav sounds like a teenager screaming whose balls haven't dropped yet

Discuss :)

Phnar :lol
Bus type ones are 24 volt I think and train ones need a compressor to run them (but they are fookin' loud :naughty)
You can easily put an air horn or two up front . Just pick up the feed fron the old horn and bingo your on :thumbs
Check this out, not us by the way :/

I also think the standard horn sound is pants, I fitted a pair of these and what a difference, a much more "manly" horn sound now
Look on ebay 310389493424 :thumb2

Exactly the same set-up that my dad had on his Scania Topliner :clap:clap

Difference is we used to drive down Peckham High Street and blow it and the amount of people it made jump was unbelievable

I bought a pair of small windtone-type horns from eBay, £7.99 - they are LOUD. Quite a nostalgic sound for me, I had something similar on a 1959 Ford Consul!

I'm gonna have to say it, but that the bloke in the video is knob-head.

Why is it funny scaring the shit out of people all day long?

Alan

No doubt he is but I still think it's childishly funny :lol
Sorry I'll grow up later :D

I fitted Alfa Romeo horns made by fiamm, they work along side the standard horns so I have 4 horns:naughty 2 tone, very loud even when the vehicle:D

I have to agree with makeitfit, it is childishly funny and i too will grow up later. BUT you are right the bloke is a knob

Ho Ho reminds me of days past when I packed up trucking, took my Haddley truck air horn of and fitted it to the roof of my Hillman Hunter estate, but not having ready "air" used propane, worked well then my building partner who smoked held his lighter in front while I gave it a blast, prompted me to fit a spark igniter so it did it automatic, had some really good laughs with this set up, still got the horn, whoops that could be misinterpreted, Rick
