Well been hit with Cornish mist today everything is wet, went for walk down into Rocky Valley, does not matter if the sun is up or not as deep in a wooded valley then a drive inland as it usually gets better but no it got worse so headed back to the coast and Boscastle arrived about 2 pm by 3.30 we were in bright sunshine so thought head back to Tintagel for another walk across the cliffs but 1 mile from Boscastle into the mist again, so went for a glass of wine instead, dogs had a good walk so no matter, then a very nice meal at a local establishment, this is Cornwall for you, wonderful place, hope to do St Nectans Glen tomorrow, Rick

There is a very nice walk, from Polzeath to Rock, along the estuary opposite Padstow. You pass St Enodoc Church, which is very lovely, and where Sir John Betjaman is buried. Great views, and the dogs will like it too......

yes done it years ago, when did you last visit Polzeath? it is now megga bucks paradise, when I first saw it there was nothing but a small ice cream shop, Rick

Well passed through Polzeath today and very different to the last time we came some 11 years ago plus, then it was overrun with serious wind surfers, today nothing of them to be seen, maybe it is to do with the time of year I do not know, anyway we parked at Rock and walked back on the coast path to Daymer bay just short of Polzeath, dogs loved it as did we, yesterday we did the 5 mile walk to St Nectans Glen and a cream tea at the Hermitage

if I can load them are pics of the interior of the hotel

this is a Victorian radiator of which there are many in the building

That's the only other place we really love too.Fantastic hols down that way.I used to windsurf there years ago. It all depends on the wind and direction. We'd go all the way down there from London and spend all weekend chasing the wind to different beaches ;)
Hope you had a stonking time and haven't put too many of those rads in your boot :sly

Back in `96 ish, me, SWMBO, the dog and cat, used to bale out from work, borrow my mates mobile home, and we had some great times there.

Then it really was a `one horse dorp`, but lovely.

As you say, now I suppose it has caught the whiff of up country money, sad....:(
