Hi guys looking for a new/another hitachi maf as per my problem on another thread

Phoned my local dealer to be told £404 plus vat then phoned my local eurocarparts to be told £270 inc vat for the same part

OUCH !!!!!!:eek::eek:

Why didn't I do my research before buying a terrano with a hitachi maf

The Bosch ones are only £70

Before I she'll out any money has anyone got one that they know is 100% in perfect working order ???

I know 2nd hand isn't good as most mafs are now the best part of 15 odd years old but I can't justify shelling out that sort of dish if It don't cure my problems

I bought a 2nd hand maf 18 months ago and it hasn't made the truck any better

Even though when I remove my maf connector now the truck feels worse then when I put the plug back on it feels better but only a bit better

But it feels like the truck doesn't want to rev when normal driving and feels like it takes ages for the revs to go up when driving in any gear no matter how hard I put my foot down on the throttle !!

I got one on my off road motor you are welcome to come over and test it to make sure yours has failed, or if you like we can meet at Boxgrove on Sunday, and have some fun at the same time, Rick

.

Hi rick I'll be down on my mates farm tomorrow if you are around mate ??

Be down there from say 11-4 ish

Let me know ASAP if tomorrow is ok

Cheers paul
