You may not be able to see in my photo, but the front end seems very high to me. I remember from doing my Terrano you can't adjust the torsion bars downwards, so how would I go about lowering the front if I needed to.
I tried to take it up a steep slope last night and the front wheels just span. Felt like there was no weight on the front end ?

Take the bricks out the back before offroading :lol
Just get underneath and check your rear springs are not broken and all bushes are ok at the back. If all's well then turn down the torsion bars. Torsion bars can go down as well as up, your house is at risk .....................:lol:lol

I assume you were in 4 wheel drive.

A step slope in East Anglia......:lol :lol :lol
Where were you ?
How steep was it?
What were the back wheels doing all this time, having a rest?:nenau

Pete wasn't it you told me last year not to wind the torsion bars down , only up?

I deny everything :augie Although it may have been a quip to encourage off road tendencies :sly

its wind up to the correct measurment not down u can wind down past measurment then wind back up to the right height hope that makes sense it does in my head but not on paper:lol:lol

I know what you mean Geoff but I'm sure the manual says don't wind them down, only up, and something about indexing them ? whatever that means.
Can't seem to download the manual from the usual links, has anyone got one that works please ?

So what , if it's too high turn it down :doh:doh OR is something bust at the back ? Have you looked :nenau
OR you've done a topgear and have a 30 stone dead man in the boot :lol

From the manual

Adjustment of anchor arm adjusting nut is in tightening direction
only.
Do not adjust by loosening anchor arm adjusting nut.

Anyone know why ?

What's an anchor arm ? :nenau
This makes no sense at all. If one winds UP the torsion arms to level the truck and went a bit too far  One would have to adjust them DOWN again :doh
You can't have a one way ticket upwards, how would you ever do a clutch for example.
It's tosh I tell you, just turn the bloody thing down a bit using the ADJUSTING arms :banghead

sod it I'll just wind them down a bit and see what falls off.

I had to wind down mine a bit after winding them up too far.

Nothing has fell off
