High difference on front suspension

Hi guys,
A longish and tiresome story, at a time I don't need it, but........got the aircon serviced and re gassed this afternoon, and the engineer pointed out the idler pulley on the drive belt had collapsed, and the drive belt was perishing......then I somehow noticed....why now I and you ask? That there was a difference in height between driver and passenger side.
Measured from a fixed point on either side, drivers side was 75 cms and passenger side 80 cms.
Is this within Tolerance?
I have checked the reindexing download, and given that I'm away from home with no tools etc., am a bit stuffed to do the work myself now.
I am visiting a local garage in the morning for him to check out the idler pulley, and may get him to think about the height situation.......

Will always find that over time the drivers side will always sag more than the passenger side due to always having weight on that side.
No matter what or who you carry or how often one thing is for sure,there will always be someone in the driving seat.

Personally I would leave it alone until I got home and don't worry about it. Give it a once over to make sure theres nothing wrong and leave it.

If you have any difficulty sourcing a pulley at a reasonable price let me know I have same, but if your system had no gas in it it almost certainly has a leak and may not last long anyway, the ali pipes where they go through the rubber lined clips hold the crap and corrode, adjusting the OS ride height is just a matter of screwing the long bolt at the rear of the torsion bar, Rick

I feel a bit more relaxed about it now......:clap

Rick, the engineer checked system for leaks and found none, and in fact commented on the excellent condition of pipe work......vacuumed it out, dried and replaced oil, fluid and put in a uv dye marker to check for future leaks. Got temp down to 7.9degC.......:nenau

no, it is the same as adjusting it for belt tension except you undo the nuts fully and remove it, Rick

I have only sourced one supplier (apart from Nissan) who is probably getting it from Nissan :doh
Price is £132.00 including VAT.......

Sorry as Rustic kindly pointed out, I missed the fact yours is a 3 ltr with a serpentine belt and auto adjusting, I cannot supply, Rick

No worries, I will have to stomach the cost of the fangled hydraulic one, and get the local guy to fettle it all up for me in short order to get back home. But thank you for your your very kind help, and Rustic for your timely reminder.

Any views from Troll owners as to compatability with my Terry?
