Both lwb standard trucks at present. Met up with Madmark today who told me about the forums.

Only Picked up number two today. Normal rot ect to sort before it's on the road.

This was the maverick spring Mount's ect when I bought it before during and after .

Outer seals, body Mount's it had the works.

The terrano is not so bad but needs some work.

I feel my first post was slightly silly now looking at how experienced you are.

Thats some cracking repair work there pal!!!! If you've already met MadMark you're already in safe hands :thumbs

Nice pics from the plains too buddy, bloody land rovers :lol :lol

Sorry Jim I don't have any close shots. But if you're ok to wait a few weeks I have two silver one's to rebuild and will take some of them lol.

Just a note even tho I can spray paint. I didn't paint mine. The other half's son-in-law work's for a body shop

Haha yeah I guess you will be fixing another pair, not often you see solid terrano wings these days.

Ace a paint sprayer in the family, great stuff.

How did you fix the wings, did you fibre glass them or weld in new metal?

Welded them up. Used galvanised steel more so because it was free but also it won't rot that section as quick. It's a bit messy to weld but the end result is ok. Can take some pics of them fitted if that's what your looking for too?

Thinking about doing a similar repair, did you cut the new metal into strips to make the shape and contours?

I'll be using plain steel plate, galv is rather nadty when being welded.
