welcome mate, maverick is nice and cant beat a bit of chrome :naughty

The chrome doesn't really bother me. If I get around to doing what I have been thinking about, I think that it might even look a tad ok, but only a tad mind you.

My idea it to either get both front and rear bumpers swapped out for heavy duty steel ones (the winch type for the front). If not, paint the originals with mat black plastidip. Thinking about doing the rims too as they are showing their age.

I think the mat black will get along with the grey.

Here are some photos of her first soft outing. Liked how she handled herself.

Right to roam, greenlaning, getting out and about into the wilderness.
Wild camping even.
That track that you took the photos on. Do you need specific landowner permission (like UK)? Is it a public road? Or is it essentially trespass (like Spain) but where no one does anything?

As long as either the land is not fenced of or there is an old "path way" you are good to go basically. Even if it is closed though, a quick chat to the owner soon opens gates!

But, as to the "Wild" camping, no go! Along with a bunch of like minded anglers, it's taken us over 10 years to finally get a law made that allows us to "wild" camp when fishing. It is still in the process of getting "written", but even then only on certain locations. Too many ruddy dinos here in Portugal!

Sounds all very civilised (except for the wild camping stuff). If done sensibly, no one will know that you're wild camping.

True, but you really have to know the area. Let's put it this way, the local cops can be at times a tad power strong, and the carry not only pistols, but sodding big G3s.

There are how ever a couple of neat loopholes. If your "tent" either doesn't have a ground sheet or has one but doesn't have a door then you are ok. All I use is a 5x7m tarp with a couple of tent poles forming an entrance. I use the 4x4 as one of the walls if you get my drift.

Mind you, in all the times I have done this I have never had a visit from the cops. Mind you, there are the least of my worries! We have ruddy big wild boar roaming around and night time is when they are active!! You really don't want them snouting around you camp.
